Safe agriculture zone announced in Tay Ninh

A ceremony was held in the southern province of Tay Ninh on May 19 to announce the opening of a disease-free zone for livestock.

The event saw the presence of Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang.

According to Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien, the disease-free zone for livestock will shape the province's livestock industry, being a model of the livestock industry development model towards industrialisation and modernisation, according to the strategy approved by the Prime Minister.

On this occasion, De Heus Group (the Netherlands) and Hung Nhon Group inaugurated the DHN Tay Ninh high-tech application livestock area, beginning the construction of seven key projects in the DHN Tay Ninh High-Tech Agricultural Park complex.

Tay Ninh currently has 116 poultry farms and 81 of them have received VietGAHP certificates; one area in Duong Minh Chau District and six commune-level establishments in Go Dau District are safe from avian flu and Newcastle disease in poultry; 71 other livestock farms have been certified as safe from diseases.
