Second tenure of Committee on Overseas Vietnamese Women launches in Thailand

Nearly 1,000 Overseas Vietnamese attended the launch ceremony of the Committee on Overseas Vietnamese Women’s second tenure, which was held on the evening of August 8 in Nong Khai Province, more than 600km northeast of Bangkok.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Pham Viet Hung congratulated Dinh Thi Kim Loan on being appointed as Head of the Committee as well as the individuals who have been selected to join the Executive Board of the Committee.

Ambassador Pham Viet Hung emphasised that throughinheriting and promoting the fine traditions of Vietnamese women, overseas Vietnamese women in Thailand play an important role in the family and society, preserving the cultural beauty and traditional customs of the nation, while also being an indispensable resource at the core of connecting the common activities of the community.

Ambassador Pham Viet Hung expressed his hope that overseas Vietnamese women in Thailand will promote the precious qualities of Vietnamese women, continue to participate in building a united Vietnamese community, and make practical contributions to the socio-economic development of the host country and the good friendship between Vietnam and Thailand.
