The five key press organisations include Nhan Dan Newspaper, Communist Review, Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television and Voice of Vietnam.
Within the meeting, Tong Van Thanh, Head of the Press and Publishing Department, reported on the results of streamlining the organisational structure of the five key press agencies and their preparations for commemorating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
The five key press organisations have promptly undertaken organisational restructuring and strictly implemented the directive to conclude operation of some units.
Regarding communication work, the five press agencies have closely adhered to the Party and State’s guidelines and policies, proactively developing and implementing communication plans in a systematic and scientific manner.
They have also sent journalists to meet with experts to produce interesting journalistic works, as well as intensifying information campaigns across digital platforms and social media.
At the meeting, Nhan Dan Newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh noted that Nhan Dan was among the press agencies that have promptly and seriously implemented streamlining, reducing the number of its subsidiary units from 25 to 15.
The newspaper also made early plans for major celebrations such as the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and the 50th anniversary of national reunification.
Speaking at the meeting, Nghia affirmed that the entire country is undertaking a revolution of organisational streamlining.
In this context, the central political press organisations have clearly demonstrated a pioneering role in communication work, helping to guide ideology and actions, and strengthening the confidence of officials, Party members and people.
He emphasised that the key political press organisations have strived to successfully complete the main tasks, increasingly demonstrating their political acumen, pioneering spirit, professionalism, and combativeness.
