Snooker - O'Sullivan on top of the world after Tour Championship win

Five-times world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan reclaimed the world number one spot for the first time in nine years by winning the inaugural Tour Championship against Neil Robertson on Sunday.

* South Africa booked the last place at the African Cup of Nations finals with a 2-1 away win over Libya thanks to Percy Tau's double on Sunday to complete the lineup for the 24-team finals being hosted in Egypt in June.

* Paul Casey became the first golfer to successfully defend his Valspar Championship title when he secured a hard-fought one-stroke win over Louis Oosthuizen and Jason Kokrak in Florida on Sunday (Mar 24).

* Colton Herta became the youngest winner in IndyCar history on Sunday (Mar 24), the 18-year-old American taking the checkered flag in his only third series start at the IndyCar Classic.

* Daniel James was Wales' goal-scoring hero as they launched their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with a 1-0 win over Slovakia in Cardiff on Sunday (Mar 24).

* Hungary midfielder Mate Patkai scored his first international goal to secure a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over World Cup runners-up Croatia in a Euro 2020 Group E qualifier on Sunday.

* Scotland beat San Marino 2-0 to avoid a second humiliation of the week and get their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign up and running on Sunday although it was hardly a performance to excite their fans.

* Poland made it two wins out of two at the start of their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign after second-half goals by Robert Lewandowski and Kamil Glik gave them a 2-0 home win over Latvia in Group G on Sunday.

* Serie A matches are unlikely to be played in China in the near future although matches in the less prestigious Coppa Italia could be, the head of Italy’s soccer league said on Sunday.
