Politburo member Anh, who is also the Standing member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, made the remark while attending the launching of a new academic year of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration on September 12.

Anh praised the achievements the academy made during the 2013 – 2014 academic year, naming it the national training centre for leaders, managers, and political theorists of the country.

The academy’s training programme should harmoniously combine study and practice; theory and realities, he said.

The trainees should be comprehensively practiced in their capabilities, qualifications and dignity so that they can shoulder their assigned tasks in the future, he added.

As a Party member, each trainee was also urged to improve their revolutionary virtue, and perform honestly and modestly in daily life while thoroughly grasping the ideology of Marxism–Leninism and President Ho Chi Minh, as well as Party guidelines and State policies and laws.

According to the academy’s director, Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan, throughout the 2014 -2015 academic year, the academy will reform its training programme and teaching methods in order to provide learners with practical knowledge and management skills.
