The national-scale event is being jointly organised by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.

Speaking at the event, MOET Deputy Minister Nguyen Huu Do said that the contest aims to accelerate the study and following of Uncle Ho’s ideology, morality and lifestyle among teachers, educational managers, students, youth union members and younger generations. It is also part of activities to effectively implement the project “Strengthening the education of revolutionary ideology, morality and lifestyle for the youth, teenagers and children in the period 2015-2020,” he said.

In terms of the contest format, candidates will take online multiple-choice tests on the website http://hocvalamtheobac.vn, going through three rounds of competitions, including a qualifying round, semifinals and the final.

They will register to create accounts and log into the contest’s website according to three groups, including Group A, for students at secondary schools, high schools and regular education centres; Group B, intended for students from universities, colleges and academies nationwide, and overseas Vietnamese students; and Group C, for educational managers, lecturers, young teachers, youth union members and young people aged below 35 (not subject to Group A and Group B).
