The event showcases light-sculpture artworks of President Ho Chi Minh created by Vietnamese artist Bui Van Tu, alongside works on the Republic of Korea by Korean artist Moo-E.
The exhibition aims to mark the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890– May 19, 2025) and the 33rd anniversary of Vietnam–RoK diplomatic ties (December 22, 1992– December 22, 2025).
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Vu Ho stressed that the exhibition, under the theme “Polaris Constellation: Friendship Connected by Light”, is a meaningful cultural exchange event held to commemorate the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh and the 33rd anniversary of Viet Nam–Republic of Korea diplomatic relations. Its significance is further heightened by the fact that it takes place at the National Assembly building of the Republic of Korea.
Ambassador Vu Ho commended the efforts of the Korea–Viet Nam Economic and Cultural Association for working with relevant partners to organise the exhibition. He also urged the association to continue pursuing creative initiatives that help spread the spirit of cooperation, strengthen the bonds of friendship, and uphold the shared vision of peace, development, and prosperity between the peoples of Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea.
Commending the initiative of the organising bodies, Phan Anh Son, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organisations, expressed his hope that the Viet Nam–Republic of Korea Parliamentary Friendship Group will continue to promote more practical and diversified forms of parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries, serving as an effective bridge between official diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy.
In a congratulatory message, Woo Won Sik, National Assembly Speaker of the Republic of Korea (RoK), noted that President Ho Chi Minh’s spirit of unifying leadership still offers many valuable lessons for the Republic of Korea today.
He underscored the significance of the exhibition, describing it as a remarkable demonstration of artistic exchange between the two nations, and expressing his hope that the two countries will become bright “guiding stars” for one another under the symbolic Polaris Constellation.
The exhibition runs from December 10 to 12, 2025.
