Koepka claims second consecutive PGA Player of Year award

Brooks Koepka has claimed PGA of America Player of the Year honours for the second consecutive year, edging the newly crowned Tour Championship winner Rory McIlroy, the PGA of America said on Monday.

* Dutch striker Bas Dost is returning to the Bundesliga after signing for Eintracht Frankfurt from Sporting Lisbon, to replace Sebastien Haller, who has joined West Ham, the German club announced Monday (Aug 26).

* Paris St Germain's Kylian Mbappe has been ruled out for at least four weeks and his strike partner Edison Cavani for three after they picked up injuries in Sunday's 4-0 Ligue 1 victory over Toulouse, the French champions said on Monday.

* AS Roma forward Diego Perotti will be out of action for up to eight weeks after picking up a thigh muscle injury during training, the Serie A club said on Monday (Aug 26). The 31-year-old will miss the Rome derby against Lazio on Sunday as well as games against Sassuolo, Bologna, Atalanta, Lecce and Cagliari.

* Bora-Hansgrohe's Sam Bennett claimed a maiden Vuelta a Espana stage victory as he pipped rival Edward Theuns to the line in a sprint finish to win stage three of the race, a 188km flat ride from Ibi to Alicante.
