Accordingly, five players had to bid farewell to the national team, namely Ngo Hoang Thinh, Pham Xuan Manh, Ngan Van Dai, Nguyen Viet Phong and Tran Van Kien.

Among these players, the most pitiful case is midfielder Ngo Hoang Thinh. In the previous camp, Thinh had an eye problem than prevented him from continuing with the national team, and this time, he has suffered a groin injury and needs time to receive treatment and recover.

In a move to ensure the Vietnamese side’s competitiveness during the UAE and Thailand clashes, Park has also decided to summon three outstanding players from Vietnam U22s for the national squad, including Nguyen Tien Linh, Nguyen Trong Hung and Nguyen Hoang Duc.

Doan Van Hau and Nguyen Cong Phuong, who are playing for European clubs, returned to Hanoi early this morning and are expected to have their first training session with the national team in the afternoon.

As scheduled, the final 23-mand Vietnamese squad will be announced by Park Hang-seo on November 13, one day ahead of their meeting with the UAE at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium.
