Such an exceptional result lifted Thanh Hoa FC to seventh place in the table with 10 points, only four behind the title frontrunners.

After a 0-2 defeat against Hai Phong FC on Matchday 6, the leadership board of Nam Dinh FC decided to sack manager Nguyen Van Sy and appoint assistant Pham Hong Phu as the team’s new boss.
Such a managerial change transformed the fortune of Nam Dinh FC, as in his first match in charge, manager Pham Hong Phu spurred his side to a resounding 3-0 home win against in-form Song Lam Nghe An.
The “three-star” victory put an end to Nam Dinh’s four-game losing run, leaving them two points clear of bottom.

The centre-stage match between Ho Chi Minh City and SHB Da Nang brought fans a thrilling spectacle with a dramatic run of scoring in the last five minutes of play.
SHB Da Nang held the advantage throughout the majority of the clash with a 44th-minute goal by Phan Van Long. However, two goals by Thanh Binh (88’) and Amido Balde (90’) helped HCM City reversed the situation to take a 2-1 lead.
It seemed it would be a spectacular comeback for the reigning V.League runners-up, but seconds before the final whistle, Grace Tanda made use of HCM City’s loosened defence to rescue a 2-2 draw for the two-time champions.
