Vietnam and Russia are two countries with a long-standing good friendship. The comprehensive strategic partnership between the two side is constantly being consolidated and strengthened in many fields, including healthcare.

Medical cooperation between the two countries includes issues of health protection and medical science.

In Russia, there are currently 168 universities offering medical training, providing quite a wide range of opportunities to study and research medicine in this country.

Many students and graduate students from Vietnam, as well as from Asian countries in general, have studied medicine in Russia. Medical universities in Russia also create conditions for students to constantly improve their knowledge and professional skills while cultivating and expanding their professional qualifications.

In addition to formal training, many exchange activities for international students and interns also take place. Parallel training models linking universities of the two countries are increasingly popular with students.

At the Conference "Urgent cooperation issues between Russia and Asian countries in the fields of education and health", representatives of the countries also extensively analysed the challenges posed by internationalisation of medical training.
