World leaders from across continents have sent congratulatory messages to Viet Nam as the Southeast Asian nation has celebrated its 80th National Day on September 2.
Although one day has passed since National Day on September 2, the patriotic atmosphere still lingers at the National Exhibition Centre in Ha Noi. Thousands of citizens from across the country eagerly lined up at the Nhan Dan Newspaper exhibition area to receive the special Nhan Dan supplement.
On the evening of September 2, large crowds of citizens and visitors gathered on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street to enjoy a special art programme entitled “Independence Star”. The event was live-streamed from three locations: Saigon ward, Binh Duong ward, and Vung Tau ward; and also featured the highly anticipated fireworks display celebrating National Day.
Having firm belief in a bright future, with determination, wisdom and resilience, Viet Nam will continue to conquer new heights, promote innovation, deepen integration, and spread the spirit of reconciliation, solidarity and international cooperation, said State President Luong Cuong at a grand banquet hosted by the Party and State to mark the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).
Bus operators in the capital and the Ha Noi Metro One Member Limited Liability Company will provide free rides for residents and visitors during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2).
Ambassador Daovy Vongxay, Permanent Representative of Laos to the United Nations (UN), the World Trade Organisation (WTO), and other international organisations in Geneva, has highlighted the close coordination between the Vietnamese and Lao missions at multilateral forums in Geneva.
