With only a few days remaining until the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2026, farmers across the country are intensifying production to ensure sufficient agricultural supplies to meet consumer demand. At the same time, food safety inspection and supervision have been raised to the highest level.

With food consumption demand expected to rise by 10–15% towards the end of the year, many agricultural cooperatives have moved early to expand cultivated areas and increase output in order to meet consumer demand.

This year’s winter crop in the northern provinces begins under severe impacts from storms and floods. The agricultural sector is mobilising resources and accelerating production with the goal of reaching a value of 39–41 trillion VND (1.47–1.56 billion USD), compensating for natural disaster losses and ensuring the supply of agricultural products, especially during Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.
