General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam on January 26 received a delegation of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) led by its Deputy Chairman and head of the Central Office Tahir Budagov, who came to offer congratulations on the success of the 14th National Congress of the CPV.

On the occasion of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, the New Azerbaijan Party sent a congratulatory letter to the Communist Party of Viet Nam, expressing Azerbaijan’s respect for the Party’s role in Viet Nam’s political, economic, and social development.

On September 8, Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai, Deputy Director of the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism, held a meeting with Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, to promote the exchange of tourists between the two countries.

The third “Viet Nam Days” was held in Baku from July 26-29 by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Viet Nam. The fact that 2025 is the Year of Strategic Partnership between the two countries gave special importance to the event. Numerous guests from Viet Nam - musicians, artists, writers, scientists, businessmen and officials - visited Baku to participate in the events.

Viet Nam and Azerbaijan have agreed on 17 potential cooperation areas with 58 specific activities for the 2025–2027 period, aiming to advance bilateral relations in a substantive, effective, and long-term manner.
