As part of active information efforts surrounding the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV), the country’s most important political event, the Vietnamese Embassy in Belarus, in coordination with the information and education department of the Communist Party of Belarus, on January 14 briefed the Belarusian party's leaders, members and representatives of its youth organisations on the upcoming Congress.

Viet Nam attaches great importance to its traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Belarus and wishes to further advance bilateal ties, Party General Secretary To Lam told visiting State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Grigorievich Volfovich on December 3.

Vietnamese Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang held talks with State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Volfovich Aleksandr Grigorievich held talks on December 3 in Ha Noi, where they also signed a protocol to establish a joint working group to expand and strengthen cooperation in security.

State President Luong Cuong hosted a reception in Ha Noi on September 1 for Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko, who is leading a Belarusian delegation to Viet Nam to attend a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2, 1945–2025).

The Vietnamese Embassy in Belarus, in coordination with the association of Vietnamese people there, has recently organised a ceremony to launch a movement honouring the Vietnamese language and officially open the 4th "Vietnamese Language Summer Camp" for the Vietnamese community.

President Luong Cuong cabled a message of congratulations to his Belarusian counterpart Aleksandr Lukashenko on the occasion of Belarus’ 30th Independence Day on July 3.
