Viet Nam-Malaysia trade surges 43.4% in eight months

Trade between Viet Nam and Malaysia reached 15.28 billion USD in the first eight months of 2026, up 43.4% year-on-year, nearly matching the 16.33 billion USD recorded in the whole of 2025, according to the Viet Nam Trade Office in Malaysia.

Viet Nam records nearly 17 billion USD trade surplus in agriculture, forestry and fisheries

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment said that over the past nine months, Viet Nam’s fruit and vegetable exports reached nearly 7.35 billion USD, up 19.9% compared with the same period in 2025. In September alone, the export value of fruit and vegetables was estimated at 1.19 billion USD.
