State President Luong Cuong hosted an official welcome ceremony in Ha Noi on January 29 morning for President of the European Council (EC) António Costa, who is on a two-day official visit to Viet Nam.

The upcoming official visit to Viet Nam by President of the European Council (EC) António Costa holds great significance for the Viet Nam – European Union relations, particularly as it follows the successful 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV), according to Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium and Head of Viet Nam’s Mission to the EU Nguyen Van Thao.

President of the European Council António Costa will pay an official visit to Viet Nam from January 28 – 29.

Since the 28th meeting of the National Steering Committee on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has completed and submitted a report on IUU fishing prevention to the European Commission (EC).
