Viet Nam is becoming increasingly integrated into the global economy, supported by the advantages of 17 free trade agreements (FTAs), continuously improving production capacity, a dynamic business community and expanding access to international markets.

The Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) on June 26 unveiled the Viet Nam National Multi-Project Wafer Coordination Centre (VNMPW/CC) - the first national centre dedicated to supporting semiconductor chip prototyping, marking a key step in connecting domestic chip research and design with the global semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.

Viet Nam’s leather and footwear industry is currently facing mounting challenges as rising input costs, declining unit prices and intensifying competition continue to squeeze profit margins.

Vietnamese enterprises currently have many opportunities to participate more deeply in regional and global supply chains. However, there remains a significant gap between the stringent requirements of international supply chains and the actual capacity of the majority of domestic enterprises.

With the goal of reaching 64.5 billion USD in export turnover by 2030, Viet Nam’s textile and garment sector has rolled out a series of solutions to take the initiative in raw material supply and boost production. The sector is focusing on the “green–digital transformation” strategy while building fashion brands to solidify its position in the global supply chain.
