Vietnamese financial institutions have substantial resources available to allocate to green projects. However, green credit remains difficult for businesses to access. The challenge today is not a shortage of capital supply, but the need for businesses to develop standardised roadmaps for green transition in their production and business operations.

For localities with extensive forest cover, the carbon market can unlock green finance sources to support forest protection and restoration while improving local livelihoods. To transform this potential into a sustainable resource, it is essential to refine data, legal frameworks, benefit-sharing mechanisms, and governance capacity.

Amid the transition towards a green and sustainable growth model, green finance has been identified as a key resource.
