Innovating communication and the dissemination of knowledge remains a critical mission for the intellectual community. In recent years, science communication and knowledge dissemination efforts led by scientific intellectuals have expanded widely, yielding positive results. However, communication and knowledge dissemination require more professional and effective approaches.
The scientific intellectual community is increasingly asserting its pivotal role by actively offering advice, policy criticism and recommendations, while conveying many thoughtful views to the National Assembly on the development of science and technology in the current context.
One of the key tasks of the Viet Nam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) is to bring together a large contingent of scientific intellectuals nationwide. In the context of digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI), VUSTA intellectuals need to innovate to become a more effective strategic advisory and policy critique force.
The collection of public feedback, including from overseas Vietnamese (OVs), on the draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress reflects the consistent view that Vietnamese expatriates are an inseparable part of the nation, according to Dr Nguyen Thai Chinh, a specialist in earth science and satellite geodesy and a member of the Viet Nam–Germany Innovation Network (VGI).
On August 6, at the Headquarters of the Party Central Committee, Party General Secretary To Lam and other Party and State leaders chaired a meeting with representatives of intellectuals, scientists, and artists, to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution's success (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).
