Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man has signed Resolution No. 07/2026/UBTVQH16 revising the 2026 legislative agenda.
Speaking at a meeting with voters in Ho Chi Minh City’s Hoc Mon commune, the top legislator highlighted that the NA and its Standing Committee will intensify supervision of land-related issues, particularly long-stalled projects and unresolved planning that have affected citizens’ rights and local development.
The selection of land valuation methods must comply with those recognised by law and international practice, be suited to the specific conditions of each plot, and ensure objectivity, transparency, and consistency with actual market conditions, according to Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.
The legislature agreed to expand healthcare benefits and reduce medical costs for the people. It approved a roadmap toward providing free basic hospital services within the coverage of health insurance, in line with the country’s socio-economic conditions, the financial capacity of the health insurance fund, and future premium adjustments.
The 10th session is scheduled to conclude in the afternoon, with NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man delivering closing remarks once the agenda is completed.
The National Assembly discussed the draft Law on amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Law on Geology and Minerals; the draft Law on Digital Transformation; and the draft resolution on mechanisms and policies aimed at removing obstacles in the implementation of the Land Law on December 1, as part of its ongoing 10th session.
The 15th National Assembly (NA) is scheduled to discuss the draft Laws amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on Public Debt Management, and the Law on Insurance Business on November 18, as part of the legislature’s ongoing 10th session.
The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee discussed a draft resolution on the implementation of the Land Law, another on special policies and mechanisms for driving breakthroughs of education development, and the draft revised Law on National Reserves, during its 51st session on November 5.
Party General Secretary To Lam chaired a working session in Hanoi on September 18 with the Standing Board of the Government’s Party Committee to discuss some contents of the bills of the Land Law (revised), the Planning Law, the Law on Urban and Rural Planning, and the Investment Law.
