Five key metro lines are scheduled to begin construction in Ha Noi on June 22, providing fresh momentum for the development of public transport and urban growth.

The People’s Council of An Giang province decided to invest in a metro line project, section 1 in Phu Quoc under the public-private partnership method with a total investment of nearly 9 trillion VND.

Passengers can now bring folding bikes onto the Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro line, Ho Chi Minh City’s first urban railway, following a new policy from operator HURC1 that took effect on August 1.

In the first five months of this year, nearly 10 million journeys were made on Ha Noi’s two metro lines: Cat Linh-Ha Dong and Nhon-Ha Noi Station.
