State President Luong Cuong emphasised the need for the army to proactively and effectively promote international integration and defence diplomacy to ensure the national interests at the highest while addressing a national political-military conference in Ha Noi on December 17.

The 2025 National Political-Military Conference was held by the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence in Ha Noi, on December 17 to review the leadership and direction of the implementation of military and defence tasks in 2025, and to roll out military and defence tasks for 2026. President Luong Cuong attended and delivered a keynote address.
