During the recent Lunar New Year holiday, thousands of engineers and workers at major national infrastructure projects were ready to sacrifice personal moments and accept a delayed Tet, working tirelessly on site.

Along with the rest of the country, on the morning of December 19, Hai Phong City simultaneously broke ground on and inaugurated 13 works and projects with a total investment of nearly 20 trillion VND across many key sectors, commemorating the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance Day and celebrating the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has instructed relevant agencies to thoroughly review procedures for ground-breaking and inauguration ceremonies for projects celebrating the 14th National Party Congress, in line with regulations, while ensuring full preparation of sites, technical logistics, facilities, and security and safety measures.

In the journey toward realising the commitment to achieve Net Zero by 2050, specific policies that promote green investment play a pivotal role alongside general strategies. A major challenge is that, beyond technical requirements, infrastructure, coordination mechanisms, and human resources, green projects typically require extremely large amounts of capital.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, during a meeting on November 14, called on ministries, agencies, and An Giang province to intensify efforts and accelerate the implementation of infrastructure projects in preparation for the APEC Economic Leaders' Week 2027.
