The Red River has long been regarded as the “lifeblood” and backbone of Thang Long – Ha Noi’s historical formation. Integrating the river into a Scenic Boulevard Axis project demands solutions that work with nature and place people at the centre, grounded in scientific understanding of stratigraphy, geomorphology, hydrology, the river’s complex flow regimes and the densely populated riverside communities, including those on the floodplains.

The Ha Noi Party Committee on December 13 approved in principle two major investment projects seen as new strategic growth drivers for the capital, namely an Olympic sports urban area in the city’s southern area and the Red River Landscape Boulevard.
