In a year marked by significant milestones for both nations, the Viet Nam Film Week in Laos has served as a meaningful cultural bridge, according to Do Quoc Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Cinema under the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Amid the devastating impacts from the recent floods and successive natural disasters, Viet Nam has received solidarity, encouragement and financial assistance, along with essential goods and equipment, from the international community, foreign governments and international organisations, with the total value estimated at nearly 16 million USD as of November 27.
