Speaking at the closing ceremony on December 6 in Vientiane, he said that through the films, the organisers hoped to offer the Lao people vivid and authentic portrayals of Viet Nam, as well as solidarity and compassion that the two nations deeply share and cherish.
The six-day event presented to Lao and Vietnamese audiences a selection of outstanding works, including newly released films. Viet described the event as a sincere gesture of congratulations from the Vietnamese film industry to Laotians on the 50th anniversary of their National Day, saying its helps enhance understanding, affection and appreciation for the Viet Nam–Laos special friendship.
According to the organisers, the works contributed to strengthening Viet Nam–Laos friendship, bringing the two peoples closer together. The stories, images and messages conveyed in each film not only held artistic value but also carried cultural and historical depth, vividly illustrating the enduring solidarity between the two nations.
The programme, they said, was not only a cinematic exchange but also an opportunity to reaffirm both countries’ commitment to nurturing and promoting their great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion.
