State President Luong Cuong sent greetings to President of Sri Lanka Anura Kumara Dissanayake on July 21 on the occasion of the 55th founding anniversary of the diplomatic ties between the two countries (July 21, 1970 – 2025).

The Vietnamese Party and State want to further deepen bilateral ties with Sri Lanka on the back of close friendship, high political trust, and shared values and interests, said Politburo member and Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation Nguyen Trong Nghia.

A delegation of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV), led by Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of its Commission for Communication, Education and Mass Mobilisation, paid a working visit to Sri Lanka on June 2.
