The development of modern agriculture will struggle to achieve its goals if production discipline is not strictly observed. No matter how far technology advances or mechanisation is promoted, if farmers continue to rely on small-scale production, fragmented landholdings, and excessive use of fertilisers and pesticides, the food on the table will still not be truly safe.

The transformation of agricultural production has become an imperative in the development of modern society and international integration. Building a comprehensive system for applying science and technology across agricultural value chains has been identified as the “key” to successfully realising the goal of green and sustainable agriculture.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment held a ceremony to announce the agricultural product traceability system, officially putting it into operation nationwide from July 1. This is an important step forward in the digital transformation of the agricultural sector, contributing to making the value chain more transparent and improving the quality, reputation and competitiveness of Vietnamese farm produce.
