National flag carrier Viet Nam Airlines announced on August 24 afternoon that it would adjust flights at several airports in central Viet Nam due to the impact of Typhoon Kajiki, the fifth storm to hit the East Sea this year.

Viet Nam’s aviation sector saw a strong recovery in the first six months of 2025, with the number of passengers up 9.1% over the same period last year, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam (CAAV).
