The route will be operated by Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO), a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines, using ATR 72 aircraft with one round trip per day.
During September and October only, the frequency will be adjusted to five round trips per week, operating every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The resumption of the route shortens travel time between Can Tho, the hub of the Mekong Delta, and Da Lat and its surrounding areas, while providing an additional travel option for residents and visitors. A direct air connection also facilitates trade, investment and tourism exchanges between the two regions.
According to Nguyen Quang Trung, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, Can Tho and Da Lat are both markets with strong demand for travel and tourism. Restoring a direct flight reduces journey time and enhances connectivity between the Mekong Delta and the Central Highlands.
He emphasised that Vietnam Airlines will continue to review market demand to maintain and develop suitable domestic routes, thereby supporting trade and tourism between localities.
Alongside the Can Tho–Da Lat service, Vietnam Airlines plans to operate seven daily round trips linking Lien Khuong Airport with Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang using Airbus A321 aircraft.
Of these, the Ha Noi–Da Lat route will be operated by two round trips per day, Ho Chi Minh City–Da Lat by four, and Da Nang–Da Lat by one.
