Reporting on the fair, Colonel Mai Quoc Truong, Deputy Chief of Staff of the General Department of Defence Industry and a member of the Videx Cambodia 2026 Organising Committee, emphasised that the event was part of the National Trade Promotion Programme. Held from October 14 to 17, the fair was organised under the direction of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence and Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence and Ministry of Commerce.

The fair took place while the two countries are working together to prepare activities for Viet Nam–Cambodia Friendship Year 2027, marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Cambodia (June 24, 1967–June 24, 2027).

Several Vietnamese product categories attracted interest from Cambodian businesses seeking cooperation, including construction materials and equipment, agricultural products, consumer goods, chemicals, fertilisers, high-tech agricultural products, and garments.

As part of Videx Cambodia 2026, a business-matching programme was held between Vietnamese enterprises and members of the Cambodia Association of Small and Medium Enterprises.

The programme brought together representatives of 25 Vietnamese businesses and nine Cambodian enterprises. During the event, representatives of businesses from both countries signed memoranda of understanding to promote trade and strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

At the fair, the organising committee donated 30 laptop computers and 10 printers to Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence and Ministry of Commerce. During the event, it also presented nearly 2,000 gift packages containing products manufactured by military-affiliated enterprises to residents and fair visitors.

At the closing ceremony, 20 organisations and 30 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by Viet Nam’s Minister of National Defence in recognition of their outstanding achievements in organising and participating in Videx Cambodia 2026.

The successful organisation of Videx Cambodia 2026 helped further strengthen solidarity and friendship between Viet Nam and Cambodia, while creating additional opportunities for businesses from both countries to exchange information, expand trade relations, and enhance cooperation.
