The remains were found in a village in Pon Tuk Commune, Dom Nak Cheang O District, bringing the team’s total to 92 sets of remains in the first phase of the 2026-2027 period.

Of this total, 18 sets were recovered in Cambodia and 74 in An Giang Province.

The team members, who approach their work with a strong sense of responsibility, regard the search for and recovery of fallen soldiers’ remains not only as an important political task but also as a way of repaying a debt of gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives for national liberation and in fulfilment of their international duty.

Team K92’s work also supports the 500-day national campaign to accelerate the search for, recovery and identification of fallen soldiers’ remains.

Every set of recovered remains not only helps ease the grief and longing of fallen soldiers’ families but also honours the nation’s tradition of gratitude to those who rendered meritorious service to the country.
