Speaking at the event, Truong Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, emphasised that the province had numerous advantages in terms of geographical location, infrastructure connectivity, labour resources, and industrial development space. Covering 8,536 square kilometres, with a population of more than 3.2 million and a workforce of over 1.7 million, the province is well positioned to develop large-scale manufacturing. With its location bordering Ho Chi Minh City, linking to Cambodia through a network of international border gates, and having access to seaports, Tay Ninh features favourable conditions to participate more extensively in regional production networks and supply chains.

Tay Ninh is currently accelerating infrastructure development and expanding its industrial space, with the aim of having 100 industrial parks and 108 industrial clusters covering a total area of more than 37,500 hectares by 2030. The province currently has more than 1,400 hectares of land ready for investment projects. Provincial leaders have pledged to establish a transparent and favourable investment environment, work closely with businesses, and promptly address their difficulties and obstacles.

China is currently Tay Ninh’s largest foreign investor among the fifty countries and territories with active projects in the province, with 1,108 projects and total registered capital of more than 11.6 billion USD. Investors from Hong Kong (China) account for 246 projects, with total registered capital exceeding 3.3 billion USD, making a significant contribution to local economic development.

At the event, participants highlighted Hong Kong (China)’s role as an international financial and trading centre and a bridge enabling Vietnamese businesses to access mainland China and global markets. Business-to-business (B2B) connection sessions and product exhibitions and showcases provided opportunities for participants to exchange information on their needs, seek partners, and explore new avenues for cooperation.

A highlight of the event was the signing of two memoranda of understanding between the Tay Ninh Business Association and the Tay Ninh Young Entrepreneurs Association, and the Hong Kong Business Association in Viet Nam (HKBAV), with the aim of strengthening investment, trade, and supply chain links. The agreements are expected to expand partner networks, help businesses access markets, and gradually deepen cooperation between Tay Ninh and Hong Kong (China), making it more substantive and effective.
