14th National Congress of Viet Nam Women's Union wraps up

The congress set the overall goal of mobilising society to advance gender equality, improve women's material and spiritual well-being, and promote their comprehensive development. By 2030, Vietnamese women are expected to become a key driving force for national development, while the VWU aims to become a pioneering organisation championing women's equality and development.

Vietnamese women affirm their role and position across all areas of social life

Ahead of the 14th National Women’s Congress for the 2026-2031 term, looking back at the women’s movement in the 2022-2026 period it can be seen that Vietnamese women have increasingly brought into play their strengths, affirming their role and position across all areas of social life while making important contributions to the country’s sustainable development in the new era.

The event highlighted the crucial role of access to information in enabling young people to make informed decisions about their bodies, their health, and their futures.

Cooperation to improve health of adolescents and women in Viet Nam

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Organon & Co. officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), on November 17, on expanding access to accurate, timely, and youth-friendly information on sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights for adolescents and young people across Viet Nam.

In the exhibition space of the Viet Nam Women’s Museum, each portrait seems to evoke a glorious past. The faces of young women in their twenties who sacrificed their lives more than fifty years ago are now brought to life through restoration technology, continuing to tell stories of courage and the desire to live beautifully.
