The Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka on August 24 hosted a cultural and artistic exchange programme in the South Asian nation’s Central Province, as part of activities marking Viet Nam’s 80th National Day (September 2) and the 55th anniversary of Viet Nam – Sri Lanka diplomatic relations (1970 – 2025).

The “Sao Doc Lap” (Independence Star) art and political programme in 2025 with the theme “For a prosperous Viet Nam” was held in Ha Noi on August 24.

A special political-artistic television programme entitled “Golden Opportunity” took place on the August 22 evening in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – 2025) and the National Day (September 2, 1945 – 2025).

Laos’ peace, stability, and prosperity today are owed in large part to the deep, sincere, and wholehearted support and cooperation from Viet Nam, said Lao Ambassador to Australia Chatoulong Bouasisavath.
