On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), Tran Duc Thang, Politburo Member and Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to exemplary war veterans in Hoan Kiem Ward on July 20.

In recent times, the care for war veterans in Lang Son province has been implemented comprehensively with many positive results.

“A small painting, but such immense affection. It warms my heart to know that the younger generation still remembers us,” said Master Sergeant Nguyen Chi Tuong – a veteran undergoing treatment at the Long Dat Centre for the Care of Wounded Soldiers and Contributors to the Nation – as he grew emotional upon receiving a drawing created by the child of a Vinamilk employee.

President Cuong stressed that over the past 78 years, especially during nearly four decades of renewal, the Party and State have issued numerous preferential policies for revolution contributors, and these policies have continually been improved.

Vietnam Friendship Village in Van Canh Commune, Hoai Duc District, Hanoi, held a ceremony on April 3 to celebrate its 25th anniversary (March 18, 1998-2023) and receive the Second-class Labour Order.
