The World Health Organisation (WHO) has assessed the risk of Ebola transmission as low globally, including in Viet Nam, and acknowledged the proactive efforts of Viet Nam’s Ministry of Health and the Government’s urgent direction in preparing the system and strengthening response capacity to the outbreak.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) is intensifying surveillance and disease prevention measures amid growing concerns over the evolving Ebola outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda, aiming to prevent the virus from entering the country.
