An art programme entitled “Climate Action”, performed by the Viet Nam Contemporary Arts Theatre on June 7, attracted a large number of audiences.
More than 50 years ago, the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment held in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1972 marked a turning point in humanity’s environmental awareness. Since then, June 5 each year has been observed as World Environment Day, providing a global platform for raising shared environmental concerns.
In 2025, the United Nations selected the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution” for World Environment Day (June 5), calling on the global community to take urgent and determined actions to tackle plastic waste.
On the occasion of World Environment Day (June 5), Viet Nam’s Engineering Unit Rotation 3 at the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) actively participated in a series of practical activities to raise awareness of environmental protection and promote the message of green and sustainable living within their base and the local community.
