The programme was organised in response to World Environment Day (June 5) and the 2026 Month of Action for the Environment. It was assigned by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to the Viet Nam Contemporary Arts Theatre in coordination with relevant agencies and organisations. The event aimed to spread messages about environmental protection, climate change response and the promotion of green and sustainable lifestyles within the community.
Speaking at the programme, Dang Ha Viet, Director General of the Department of Science, Technology, Training and Environment under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that culture and the arts not only serve creative and entertainment purposes, but also carry the mission of awakening emotions, raising awareness and inspiring action within the community.
Through music, performing arts and the emotionally rich imagery, the programme aimed to convey to the public messages of love for nature, responsibility for environmental protection and the aspiration to build a green and sustainably developing Viet Nam, Viet affirmed.
The programme was staged as a multidisciplinary artistic production combining music, contemporary dance, visual arts and modern stage technology. It reflected the relationship between humans and nature while conveying messages about responsibility for preserving the living environment, protecting ecosystems and joining hands for a sustainable future.
The programme sought to raise community awareness about protecting natural resources, biodiversity, seas, forests and the living environment, thereby contributing to promoting the image of a green and friendly Viet Nam that develops harmoniously between culture, people and nature.
Alongside artistic performances, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also called on its affiliated agencies and units to actively implement environmental protection activities linked to their 2026 work plans, while gradually integrating environmental protection and climate change response requirements into cultural, sports and tourism activities.
