The four-day event is jointly held by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Ho Chi Minh municipal People's Committee of City and functional agencies.
It aims to promote innovation activities, connect technology supply and demand, and especially strengthen linkages between institutes, universities, enterprises, and experts at home and abroad.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat, said the event introduced new technologies and products to boost technological demand and supply connectivity between localities and economic zones, and domestic and foreign partners, thus facilitating the application, transfer and innovation of technology.

The programme features a wide range of seminars, conferences on technology application and transfer, an international exhibition on equipment and technology in agro-forestry-fishery (Vietnam Growtech 2022) and an international exhibition on food, beverages and food processing technology (Vietnam Foodtech 2022).
