Themed “Green Tech, Green Future”, the event focused on key areas such as data centres, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, and sustainable technology solutions.
Now in its fourth year, the DCCI Summit was co-hosted by Viettel IDC and major tech partners, attracting over 2,000 enterprises and international experts. The event aimed to share global sustainable development trends, best practices for implementation in Vietnam, and foster cooperation in developing green data centres, cloud platforms, and AI – all in pursuit of a sustainable digital economy in Vietnam.
According to forecasts by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, global revenue from products and services is expected to rise from 2.5 trillion USD in 2023 to approximately 16.4 trillion USD by 2033 – a 6.5-fold increase. Of this, AI's contribution is projected to grow from 189 billion USD to 4.772 trillion USD – a 25-fold increase.
These figures were shared by Le Ba Tan during the plenary session of the summit. He emphasised that AI has now become an extremely important tool, sometimes providing faster, more accurate, and more efficient responses than human assistants.
Moreover, the rapid growth of AI is expected to lead to a dramatic increase in the demand for computing resources.
According to the Director of Viettel IDC, AI is fundamentally reshaping investment activities and strategic priorities of major tech corporations.
Delegates expressed interest in emerging technology trends, particularly in AI and automation, and their implications for businesses. One major trend is the development of applications capable of intelligent interaction and decision-making, supporting more effective human collaboration and work processes.
Experts predicted that Vietnam’s data centre market would reach 1.266 billion USD by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate of 10.8%. However, the market still faces several challenges, such as energy and water consumption, carbon emissions, waste management, and human resource development – all of which must be addressed to ensure sustainable growth.
At DCCI Summit 2025, international experts from leading corporations such as AWS, Google, and Microsoft, along with Vietnamese managers and businesses, shared experiences, technologies, and solutions for efficient operations and green digital infrastructure development.
Enterprises across the Asia-Pacific region are actively seeking to invest in green technology and build environmentally friendly digital ecosystems. ESG indicators are increasingly being used to guide businesses toward more responsible, transparent, and eco-conscious operations based on clear principles and standards.
In addition to discussion sessions, DCCI Summit 2025 also featured a technology exhibition by major brands such as Dell Technologies, Vertiv, and Schneider Electric. At the exhibition, delegates had hands-on experience with solutions including energy-saving cooling systems, green backup power systems, and intelligent data centre management software.
