The Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of ICT Faculties-Institutes-Schools-Universities (FISU Vietnam) organised a workshop themed "ICT Training in the AI Era", on April 19.
This is an important event gathering experts, lecturers and leaders in the fields of information technology and artificial intelligence (AI), to discuss the latest trends in ICT training (information and communication technology), especially the application of AI in education.
Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh, Principal of the University of Information Technology, emphasized that the workshop created an opportunity for experts in the industry to share and discuss advanced trends in ICT and AI training, especially practical applications in education.
At the workshop, experts and scientists discussed, analyzed, and provided a comprehensive view of AI applications in education and training, from training associated with businesses to applications in foreign language training and university administration.
Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy, Chairman of the Council of Professors in Information Technology, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Informatics, Chairman of the FISU Vietnam, said that AI is profoundly changing every aspect of life, requiring the ICT industry to transform strongly to not only keep up but also play a leading role in leading society towards a sustainable AI application future.
It is expected that by 2030, generative AI will contribute to Vietnam's digital economy with a value of up to 14,000 billion VND.
Through the event, the organising board hopes to create a useful forum to promote the development of information technology and AI in education, expanding cooperation opportunities between universities, businesses and research organizations at home and abroad.
