Speaking at the event, Most Venerable Thich Khe Chon, Vice Chairman of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Head of the Executive Board of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Buddhist Sangha, called on Buddhist monks, nuns, and followers to diligently participate in social and charity activities and join hands to promote solidarity in the community.
At the event, 18 units under the provincial Buddhist Sangha joined a parade to offer flowers and offerings to the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and then released pigeons and balloons into the sky.
The two-day festival also featured rituals and activities to pray for peace and happiness, encourage good deeds, and promote the harmony between Buddhism and patriotism.
Over its 21 editions, the festival has generated great joy and happiness among participating Buddhist monks, nuns, and followers, who share a common aspiration for prosperity for the country, happiness for the people, and peace for the world.
