Japanese cherry blossom festival opens in Ha Long

Nhan Dan/VNA - As many as 20 cherry blossom trees from Japan are in full bloom at a festival that is open to the public on April 11 at Ha Long Park, northern coastal province of Quang Ninh.

The three-day event also includes art performances and exhibitions featuring culture and tourism of the two countries as well as other typical products of Quang Ninh and Japan.

The second annual festival, organised by the Ha Long city People’s Committee in collaboration with Japan’s Wanokai International Culture Association, is expected to help promote cultural exchange and strengthen friendship between the province and Japan’s localities as well as the ties between the two countries.
