The event aimed to provide an opportunity for leaders of the tourism industry as well as Binh Dinh provincial authorities and local travel businesses in particular, to discuss preparations and solutions to rejuvenate Binh Dinh in the context when domestic tourism markets have gradually recovered and Vietnam has moved to resume international tourism activities.

The seminar included two sessions, the first being held with a focus on the topic of ‘Green tourism in a new “normal” state. During the session, participants reviewed the careful preparations, tremendous efforts, and creative solutions made by Binh Dinh provincial authorities and local tourism businesses to reactivate safe and attractive tourism programmes for the domestic travellers.

Speaking at the session, VNAT Chairman Nguyen Trung Khanh asked the Binh Dinh provincial tourism sector to fully observe the Government’s Resolution on safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of COVID-19.

He also asked for closer connections and coordination in tourism recovery between Binh Dinh and other localities in the region, and more supportive policies to help travel companies resume operations.

In the second session, the delegates discussed a roadmap for Binh Dinh to welcome back international visitors in a safe and sustainable way. They also suggested tourism products and services which can promote Binh Dinh as a safe destination with an interesting experience.

A strategic cooperation agreement to promote Binh Dinh tourism development was inked within the framework of the seminar between Binh Dinh provincial Department of Tourism, Hanoi Department of Tourism, and FLC Group's travel and service companies.
