The information was released by online travel agency Booking.com based on room searches on the platform from March 17 to April 6, with check-in dates from April 26 to May 1.

A report by Booking.com indicates that in 2024, three in four Vietnamese tourists will look for destinations with cool weather to escape from the heat amid rising average temperatures.

Such demand is clearly shown with the surge in the number of searches for Da Lat, a city known for its temperate climate and natural beauty.

Da Lat also tops the list of favourite domestic destinations for the upcoming five-day holiday.

Additionally, up to 82% expressed their preference for destinations near the sea to refresh themselves, with the most searched places including Da Nang, Nha Tra, Vung Tau, Hoi An, Phan Thiet and Mui Ne.

For foreign destinations, Bangkok (Thailand) is the top destination, followed by Singapore, Seoul (Republic of Korea), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Tokyo (Japan).

Thailand continues to be a popular choice for Vietnamese tourists, with three of the top ten destinations belonging to the Southeast Asian country.
