Ha Noi targets nearly 36 million visitors in 2026

Ha Noi aims to welcome 35.8 million visitors in 2026, building on strong growth recorded by the capital’s tourism sector in 2025, according to the Ha Noi Department of Tourism.

At a press briefing on December 25, the department announced that Ha Noi received more than 33.7 million tourist arrivals in 2025, including over 7.82 million international visitors, up 22.76% year on year. Total tourism revenue was estimated at over 134.46 trillion VND (5.1 billion VND), an increase of 21.5% compared with 2024.

The city currently has 3,761 accommodation establishments with 71,256 rooms. Of these, 65 hotels and serviced apartment complexes are officially rated from one to five stars, providing a total of 9,963 rooms.

The capital is home to 1,932 international tour operators, 520 domestic travel companies, seven representative offices of foreign travel firms, and a workforce of more than 9,500 tour guides operating across international, domestic and on-site services.

In 2025, Ha Noi continued to receive international recognition, winning two titles at the World Travel Awards Asia and Oceania: Asia’s Leading City Destination and Asia’s Leading City Break Destination. The city was also ranked highly by TripAdvisor among the world’s top cultural and overall destinations.

Based on these results, Ha Noi’s tourism sector is targeting more than 35.8 million visitors in 2026, including over 8.6 million international arrivals, representing a 6.2% increase compared with 2025.
