The event brought together more than 200 travel agencies, tourism businesses, representatives of tourism associations, state management bodies, and airlines from both Viet Nam and the RoK.
Speaking at the event, Park Eun Jung, Chief Representative of KTO in Viet Nam, said that 2025 was a particularly significant year for tourism exchanges between the two countries. In August, General Secretary To Lam paid a state visit to the RoK as the first state guest of the country’s new administration, opening a new chapter in bilateral relations. On that occasion, under the witnessing of General Secretary To Lam, KTO signed strategic memoranda of understanding with Vietnamese tourism cooperation agencies.
In 2025, the RoK’s tourism recorded a strong recovery and positive transformation in the Vietnamese market. By the end of November, more than 508,000 Vietnamese visitors had travelled to the RoK, up 6.9% year on year. Total arrivals for the year are estimated at nearly 550,000, an increase of 9% compared with 2024, approaching pre-pandemic levels and reaffirming Viet Nam as one of the RoK’s most important source markets in Southeast Asia.
In the MICE and incentive travel segment, KTO Viet Nam continued to lead among KTO’s 32 overseas offices worldwide, supporting 345 corporate incentive groups to the RoK, equivalent to 41,166 visitors, up 12.7% from 2024.
Viet Nam welcomed nearly 3.9 million visitors from the RoK in the first 11 months of 2025, making the RoK continue to be one of Viet Nam’s largest tourism markets.
During the event, KTO announced the Korea Tourism Awards 2025, honouring outstanding Vietnamese partners across multiple categories. KTO also introduced its 2026 promotion strategy, targeting 600,000 Vietnamese visitors to the RoK, with a focus on product quality, K-Culture activation, market expansion, and stronger support for travel businesses.
