Themed “Hue – Ancient Capital, New Opportunities”, the National Tourism Year – Hue 2025 featured more than 170 cultural and tourism events throughout the year. According to Nguyen Khac Toan, Chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee, these activities attracted over 6 million domestic and international visitors. Images of the ancient capital of Hue were widely disseminated across media platforms, helping to reaffirm Hue’s position as a distinctive cultural and tourism hub of Viet Nam.
The closing ceremony was also an opportunity to reflect on the close cooperation among local authorities, businesses, artists, and the community in building a friendly, civilised, and attractive brand of Hue.
Building on these achievements, Hue City continues to orient its tourism development toward a green, smart, and sustainable model, closely linked with heritage preservation and the safeguarding of cultural identity.
A major highlight of the evening was the art programme staged in the style of a “national concert of the tourism sector.” Thousands of spectators sang along to familiar songs, creating a powerful sense of connection. Specifically, the image of 1,000 red conical hats lighting up the stage together with singer My Tam during her performance of “Noi vong taylon” (Joining Hands in Unity) created an emotional and heroic moment, leaving a deep impression on audiences.
