National Tourism Year – Hue 2025 wraps up in vibrant atmosphere

The closing ceremony for National Tourism Year – Hue 2025 took place on December 20 in a lively and festive atmosphere, attracting thousands of local residents and visitors.

Themed “Hue – Ancient Capital, New Opportunities”, the National Tourism Year – Hue 2025 featured more than 170 cultural and tourism events throughout the year. According to Nguyen Khac Toan, Chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee, these activities attracted over 6 million domestic and international visitors. Images of the ancient capital of Hue were widely disseminated across media platforms, helping to reaffirm Hue’s position as a distinctive cultural and tourism hub of Viet Nam.

Building on these achievements, Hue City continues to orient its tourism development toward a green, smart, and sustainable model, closely linked with heritage preservation and the safeguarding of cultural identity.

The closing ceremony was also an opportunity to reflect on the close cooperation among local authorities, businesses, artists, and the community in building a friendly, civilised,and attractive brand of Hue.

A major highlight of the evening was the art programme staged in the style of a “national concert of the tourism sector.” Thousands of spectators sang along to familiar songs, creating a powerful sense of connection.
